Quicktime player

I have few old files I had created using the Quicktime player few years ago. I had stored them on my portable hard drive. I tried to access them now but I can not open them anymore.

Is there a way to open them ?

MacBook Pro 13", macOS 10.14

Open them in QuickTime Player 10 (Applications folder) and it will convert them to more modern codecs for viewing.
