Apple Account balance

For my payment methods I have a $70 Apple Account balance and my credit card.

When my annual Apple Music subscription renews in July, will the $70 balance be applied first and then the remainder put on my credit card?

I don’t want it to end up all going on my card because the Apple Account balance is less than the total subscription cost.
