Sim Card

I transfer data from an iPhone 6S to the 10s Max for my mom. The sim card from the 6S seems to not fit the 10S Max. Should she go to Verizon Wireless to get a new sim card? She can't make calls nor text without her sim card.

iPhone XS Max, iOS 15

The SIM cards are the same size: both are Nano-SIM.

Another possibility for problems is that the target iPhone is carrier-locked, and you’re trying to change carriers.

Failing that, yes, contact your carrier.

The iPhone 6S and the iPhone XS Max uses the same size SIM card. Both of these iPhone models use the Nano size SIM cards. If you are having trouble fitting the SIM card in the iPhoen XS Max, then visit the Verizon store and they will make the SIM card swap with ease.

NOTE: There is a notch cut out from one of the corners of the SIM card. Ensure that the notch on the SIM card lines up with the notch in the SIM Card Tray. Ensure that the SIM Card tray is inserted in the iPhone correctly and is not forced in.

My mom's sim card is kind of old. She had the 6S for more than 3 years. So, I gave her my 10S Max. She won't buy a new phone. She has Verizon Wireless.

iPhone 6s uses nano-SIM, as does iPhone XS Max.

If the three blue-text links to more information that were included in my previous post don’t resolve this, check with Verizon.
