Getting “insecure connection” message when trying to subscribe to a calender

I have an “Ical” link from my work calendar that allowed me to subscribe and have all my appointments show up in the I-calendar on my I-phone and IPad. I usually have to renew the subscription about once a year. This time when I tried to renew I got a message: “Insecure Connection.” Below it says “The connection is not secure. Do you want to continue subscribing”. I have the options to cancel or continue, but either way I get a validation error.

Any ideas?

Thank you,

Nori

Hi nori-lynn,

Have you tried to do this from a different Wi-Fi network to see if the issue persists? Have you contacted your work to make sure the link is still valid and there are no issues? Is your iPhone completely up-to-date? You can learn how to update your device here: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

These questions will help us isolate your issue. We look forward to hearing back from you.

Take care.

nori-lynn,

If you go to Settings > Wi-Fi, do you see a message about the security of your network there?

If your Apple device shows a privacy warning or weak-security warning about a Wi-Fi network, that network could expose information about your device.

Have a look at this link for more information: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points

Are you having issues accessing any other online content, such as viewing websites in Safari?

Thanks!
