After IOS 15.5 update my share focus status is greyed out on every contact. I have share across devices on, I don’t have anyone in allowed notifications boxes on the focus status currently turned on.

Description: Share Focus Status is greyed out.
I cannot see when other iPhones have focus shared and notifications silenced in Messages and other iPhones do not see my [username] has notifications silenced in their Messages app.
What has been tried with Apple Support and had zero success:
I really like the feature of my friends being able to see that I was on Do Not Disturb and had notifications silenced when they try to Message me. It was working great everywhere for a while. Broken for the last 3 weeks or so.
I have the same issue.
I think it has something to do with the other devices we have. I have an old MacBook Pro with Catalina, maybe the old macOS is causing this issue.
Do you also have old devices associated with the same appleID?
I have iPad Pro 12.9 (2nd gen) with my Apple ID on it but it’s been updated to. My toddler uses it so I took off all the messaging and email so she just plays games on it.

I tried to sign out from my Mac too, but the focus status is still not working.
I never used VPN, so I don’t think that it’s related to it.
Has anyone tried to delete all chats?
Maybe we have this issue because one or more contact of a chat have an old iOS update.
I think the only way to fix it is to go back to IOS 15.0, because when I was still on it ‘share focus status’ was actually working. It’s doable to make your phone go back to 15.0, you just need to use whatever computer you have available and download the packed for it etc.

No, that's actually not possible. Apple has long since stopped signing iOS 15.0.
I just finally fixed mine. Ever since I got a new MacBook I couldn’t share or see focus status on my iPhone iMessages, but it still worked on my iWatch.
I did everything people on this thread wrote and alone they didn’t work. But previously I had not enabled iMessages on my Macbook, so decided to give it a shot and enabled it and that did the trick. Now my iPhone iMessages app shows focus status.

This comment gave me a clue and thats how I was able to solve it for myself, by enabling iMessages on my Macbook that is linked to my account. If one of your devices doesn’t have iMessages enabled, indeed it will break “Share across devices” and the whole Focus sharing doesn’t work.
Yep all those are one and still have focus status on any message greyed out and unable to toggle
Read the comments below please, your tip on how to fix it, doesn’t fix it. We know how to use “Focus” feature. It’s a bug. It’s bigger than all of us :’( lol crying

Having the exact same problem for about a month now ! We need help !. I went through the exact steps with multiple apple agents with no results
Same mine has been like this ever since I updated my phone.
Glad it’s not just me, I know there has to be more people. I think it’s a glitch in the update.
