Sign with Apple minimum iOS version

Hi @all,

I'm a Unity Developer, Please help me with the following:-

I'm bit confused with sign in with Apple process. What exactly the minimum iOS version requirements to enable the "Sign In With Apple" button on apps?

In few searches, I found the iOS 13 minimum. If it's true, then how to deal with the users who have iOS version < 13?

Thanks

Regards

Hey there! Fellow Unity developer here.

It does appear that is the case- iOS 13 is needed. https://blog.unity.com/technology/support-for-apple-sign-in

From the link-

"You will also need Xcode 11, which will work on either macOS 10.14 (Mojave) or 10.15 (Catalina) and a device that has iOS 13.0 installed"

It doesn't appear there is any way to enable it for anything less than that.

Good luck!

Suggest they upgrade.

If they’re permanently stuck on iOS 12 or earlier, they’re on iPhone 6 or earlier, and which is old and limited and slow hardware.

Or if they’re still using iOS 12 or earlier but could upgrade, they’re usually on minimal storage, and what they have is full.

In either case, a smaller part of the total available users, and users also tending toward the more problematic to support.

iOS 16 drops support for iPhone 6s and iPhone 7, which means all iOS 16 devices minimally have 64 GB storage.
