Monterey 12.4 - After a software update, I now have a secondary administrator account

I'm running a Late 2020 Mac Mini with Apple silicon. After a recent software update, I am presented with a secondary administrator's account. My original account was 'myname' and set up as an administrator. It's been this way since my first Mac purchase years ago. Now when I first start the computer, I'm given a choice of 'myname' Administrator or 'mynameadmin' administrator. The correct account has my contact picture. The new faux has a ?. When I login to the original account as an administrator, system preferences, users, there are no other admin accounts. When I login to the faux admin account, the same preferences shows both the faux account and the original admin account. How the heck do I get rid of the faux account? I don't want to "live with it"...I wanna get rid of it! GRRRR APPLE! Suggestions anyone?

Thanks so much for the thoughtful response. I realize that you put quite a lot of time and effort into it. It might have been a bit more helpful if you had actually responded with something other than a "?" because while I am brilliant...I'm not clairvoyant. What a putz
