Move pictures

I want to take all of my pictures from my iPhone and transfer them to my Mac. Then I want to delete them off my phone to make more storage. How can I do that without deleting them off my Mac?

MacBook Pro (2020 and later)

Assuming you're not already syncing them to the cloud, then you import them http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083
