Restore 256gb into 128gb

Question

Restore 256gb into 128gb

I sold my iphone 11 pro and i’ve just bought a 13 pro max. I did backup my 11 pro before i sold it but the backup worked out to be about 140gb and the new phone is 128gb. Any way i can restore part of the backup such as the camera roll and a couple apps instead of everything?

Alternatively Does anybody know what part of the backup restores pictures like the start or end and will unplugging part way through restore part of the backup?

And last question is an icloud backup the same size as a normal iTunes backup or is it smaller?

Hello TheBossOfBread,

There isn't a way to determine what part a restore is in when it's process. Unplugging it from your computer when in the process of restoring, can stop the restore from completing. If you have your photos synced with iCloud, they would appear on your device as soon as you sign in with your iCloud. To answer your last question, iCloud and iTunes backups are sync with your device differently causing backups to be different in size.
