Pictures
So I lost my last phone in the river and it had all of my sons pictures on it I can’t remember if it was backed up or not but they are not showing on my new one..is there a way to get the back?

They'll come back only if you used iCloud Photos sync on your old/lost device and you are using the same Apple ID on your new iPhone.
Shouldn't be this case, the only option is to restore data from a from a full backup you created on iCloud or on a computer.
No backup = No recovery, sorry.
