Yes, however, the laptop may not receive the full power of the charger when connected through the multi-port adapter. I discovered this while trying to troubleshoot and repair these USB-C Apple laptops since some of them with power issues would not power on while using the multi-port adapter, but would power on while the charger was connected directly to the laptop. You can see the power diversion if you connect a USB device which includes a power LED to the multi-port adapter as well as the charger, then even if the laptop is completely powered off the USB device will show it is still receiving power from the multi-port adapter.
