Remove my child from someone elses family sharing

My ex had added my 9 year old daughter to his family sharing account at one point without me realizing it when she had an iPhone. My daughter now has an android and I had no idea he still has her on his family sharing account and is using it to track our location. This is a huge safety concern as we are trying to safely escape an unsafe situation with this individual who is extremely abusive; I did not want him knowing the location of our new home that we are moving to, in order to no longer be in danger (the ex is not her father). How can I get my daughter removed from his family sharing account, that I am no longer on & if she is only 9 years old???? I don’t have a family sharing account, and (again) she has an android, so I cannot go into any settings like an iPhone and request to be removed or no longer share her location with him… why is this even an option!? This is a huge safety concern and I’m shocked that Apple has not closed the loophole on this!

Apple's family sharing features shouldn't allow for tracking of an Android device, but perhaps there is something similar to family sharing or Find Friends for Android that needs to be disabled. Either way I would contact Apple Support to ask if they can help with the family sharing issue.

As outlined in the previous post, Apple's Family Sharing has almost no features that will work on Android. The only one of which I am aware is sharing an Apple Music subscription, but that does not reveal any location information.

If you are still concerned about this, and depending upon the age of the "child", you need to have the child leave the other family, transfer hte child to a different family, or delete the child's Apple Account entirely.

Leave Family Sharing - Apple Support

Move a child to another group using Family Sharing - Move a child to another group using Family Sharing - Apple Support - "While you can't remove a child under 13 years old from your family group, you can move them to another group."

The alternative is to delete the child's account altogether which has the consequence that anything purchased with that account will not be available for redownloading or updating in the future. One way to delete the account would be to log into the unwanted "child" account and request deletion. You should have the ID and password from when you first set up the account, or can recover the password according to information provided in the referenced links below.

You could also contact Apple about this request: Click here --> Choose your country or region - Official Apple Support Select your country, then a product and work your way down the menu to the desired issue. If you don't see one then try a different product until you reach a telephone or chat help request and ask to be redirected.
