messed up wifi settings- need advise please
Hi community
I have a Wifi-setup which broadcasts the same SSID on both the 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz band. I wanted to stick to my 2.4Ghz which runs on channel 13 (I know its not a regular channel). I live in a country where channel 13 is allowed.
I did some research and read that a specific Wifi-channel can be configured via this terminal-command:
sudo /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/Apple80211.framework/Resources/airport --channel=13channelNumber13
Unfortunately 2.4Ghz does not seem to run better and I tried to revert it to default but cant find out how. I did a backup of the default aiport-exec but I cant replace it in the directory /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/Apple80211.framework/Resources/ To make things worse I deleted it afterwards :S
How can I change the --channel argument to default that it wont stick anymore to channel 13?
Running macOS Monterey 12.4 on a MBP 14" 2021 M1 Pro.
Kind regards
Andrew
