Macbook Air randomly shutting down

I have a Macbook Air from 2020, with the Intel i5 processor, and it randomly shuts down, only to switch on again if it's recharging. I run a command on the terminal to see the cause and it reads:

previous shutdown cause: 8

and the Timestamp reads:

1970-01-0101:00:25.103274+0100

I've seen other codes, but 8 doesn't seem to show very often... Any clues on why this happens would be greatly appreciated.

Most of the shutdowns are code 5, so it was shutdown normally- either something on your Mac is scheduling shutdowns, or something else.

I would try resetting the NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac, then the SMC
