My iPad Air 3rd generation and IPhone 13 pro don’t read images on 3 different microsd Sandisk adapters , it doesn’t show any images. At the same time it recognises all my sandisk sd memory cards and easily opens images. Any ideas how to deal with it?
Thank you for providing this additional information - as this helps greatly in understanding what is going on. I now understand (and can see) that you are using a passive microSD Card Adapter - as opposed to an actual microSD Card Reader.
Given that an SD Card is readable with the illustrated Apple Lightning SD Card Reader, your microSD cards should be readable with the same Card Reader - if the cards themselves are both compatible and correctly formatted.
As such:
1) Your passive microSD card adapter may be defective. These are very cheap to replace.
2) Perhaps your microSD cards are not correctly formatted - and are therefore not recognised by your iPad. iPad will recognise camera cards formatted as FAT, FAT32 and exFAT.
Are your SD and microSD cards the same type - i.e., SD, SDHC or SDXC and Class Rating?
If they are the same type, but differ only in physically being a microSD card, suspect the passive adapter to be internally faulty, or have bad contacts.

The passive card adapter will likely be marked as SD/SDHC/SDXC - as physically they are identical. My question relates to your actual cards - as to whether they themselves are SD, or SDHC, or SDXC with the same speed ratings.
Also, are your SD Card and microSD cards used in the same or different cameras? If using different cameras, the card and image formatting may differ.
A very simple test is to use your microSD Card, with the card adapter, in your Olympus Camera.
Reformat the microSD card in the camera, take some photos, then try to access the photos as before in your iPad. If the photos can be accessed, you can attribute your difficulties to incorrect card formatting.
Your issue is unclear. You state that your SD Card Adapters are not recognised - yet the images on your SD Cards are accessible.
Do you your card readers have a USB, Lightning, or some other type of connection?
If your card readers have a USB connection, how you are connecting them to your iPad; are you using an Apple Lightning to USB3 Camera Adapter, or something else?

In what circumstances are your microSD/SD Cards are accessible - and in what circumstances are they not recognised?
I use Apple Lightning to USB3 Camera Adapter connection. When I insert a microSD adapter into it (with microSd card) shows message: no photos to import, whereas when I insert a regular SD card images are there. The first 2 photos were taken when SD adapter for microSD was inserted and the third one with a regular SD card

I have and tried 3 passive microSD card adapters (two by Samsung and one by Sandisk Sd/SDHC/SDXC) none of them worked. MicroSD cards are: Samsung and SanDisk and I tired all possible combinations with those adapters.
I will buy another one and try again.

the normal SD cards have been only used in my Olympus camera. And no problem with opening images at all (on Samsung tablets and phones, later IPad and IPhone). The micro sd cards I used to use as an extra storage for photos taken with Samsung phones and for photos edited on my Samsung tablet). I only recently switched from android to iOS and wanted to upload old images from microSD card to ICloud. Probably as you mentioned it wasn’t formatted the way to make it compatible with IPhone, IPad?

And yes they are sdxc and sdhc not sure about speed rating though
