Different Apple ID Purchase in my iCloud Backup

I have just received a message stating "This iCloud backup includes purchases from the iTunes Store that were made with a different Apple ID" then giving another ID address. How can I check what purchases were made from this other user in my backup as I'm unaware of any. Will they show in my purchase history if I didn't make them? I've had a look and there's no purchases in my account showing under this ID (although I do know it). They must show who did what somewhere so I can check what this person has put in my cloud.

I would need to know which purchases were made that are affecting my backup and when.


For context: I was setting up a new iPhone and wanted to use one of my recent backups from my old iPhone (a backup dated 16 June 2022). As per above, a message came up saying that the backup includes purchases made with a different Apple ID. In the past when I changed my phones such a message hasn't come up. It then showed me the Apple ID / email of a person that I do not not well as all but recognised the name, asking me to log in with the correct password for that ID. Of course I could not, which meant that the backup could not be used. I therefore need to know - given the person's ID that came up (which was very concerning to me) - what purchases were made that impacted my backup and when. I am worried that my phone got hacked.

Thank you for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.


Any purchases made with another Apple ID will not automatically download. Only the purchases made on your account will download. If you still want those apps, then I would recommend downloading them from your account.


If you still want to share those purchases, we would recommend using family sharing: Use a different Apple ID to share purchases with Family Sharing
