Lost iphone while traveling to Asia

I lost my iphone 8 in a remote place while traveling a small country in Asia. Unfortunately I didn't have my icloud enabled. Is there still a way to recover contacts and photos?

only option is

If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch is lost or stolen - Apple Support

if you used icloud for photos you can access them using www.icloud.com
