does sound come out of the lightening connector when listening to music (I’m not using headphones)
I’m listening to radio without headphones, just normal audio, does the lightening connector improve the sound to the speakers around it

Don't really understand what you mean by that, but the Lightning connector is between the Built-in microphones and Built-in stereo speaker.
