Why does the change passcode screen not match the enter passcode screen?

When I enter my passcode on my iphone, the grid is the 3x3 + 0 grid. But since my security policy automatically requires me to change my passcode every few months, it comes up automatically. But the input method is completely different. I have to enter my passcode on a QWERTY keyboard with 1234567890 across the top.

Why would you design it that way?

Do you have a MDM profile?

See this Apple article: Checklist: If you want to see if anyone else has access to your device or accounts

See point 5.

If so, MDM is likely to be the cause of the Passcode Requirement alert.

Contact the company or organization you work in, chances are that it has been enrolled in the MDM (Mobile Device Management) system.
