Apple music lossless streaming skips a few samples within the first 30 seconds of playback?

Why does apple music lossless streaming skip a chunk of audio samples/a few milliseconds within the first 30 seconds of playback? Very annoying, and takes out enjoyment of the music by upsetting the tempo; jumping forward slightly. I presume it's adaptive streaming quality, and jumping between 256 kb/s AAC and Lossless? But it really needs to be fixed.

I'm on an Intel i9 iMac, with 1GBs download internet speed.

The workaround is to download any song prior to playback, but that really defeats the purpose of 'streaming', doesn't it??
