Goldman Sachs says that scores from 600 and up may be approved for the Goldman Sachs MasterCard. There are statements on various social media platforms (Reddit, Facebook, Instagram) where people state they had scores in the high 500’s and were approved.

When you apply for a loan, credit card, mortgage etc. the lender/bank will do what is called a “hard pull” of your credit report to verify your credit history etc. You can get a free copy of your credit report here,

https://www.annualcreditreport.com/index.action

Look over your report for errors or inaccuracies. If you find a mistake on your report, you can dispute it with the credit bureau that reported it. You have legal rights in this area and disputes are easy to do and changes can happen very quickly. The changes will be immediately applied to your report(s) and you can apply again. But the first step is to get your reports and examine them for accuracy.
