Audio stutter over bluetooth
My setup:
iPhone 13 Pro
iOS 15.5
AirPods 3rd edition
Car: 2012 Lexus CT
I’ve been getting “stutters” and audio cutouts when moving around my neighborhood and city. Mostly with the car connection but it also happens with AirPods while walking. The pitch of the music or voices will also shift upward for a few seconds and then return to normal.
The distortions happen regardless of app used to stream (Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube etc) and also occur with audio content saved locally to the phone’s storage.
Here’s what I’ve tried
* unpairing/re-pairing all Bluetooth devices
* initiating connections from phone and car side
* network reset(s)
* airplane mode
* I went to my local Genius Bar; the tech wiped phone and I started with a fresh iOS 15.5 image
None of these seemed to eliminate the glitches. Another note is that I tried a 2022 iPhone SE paired to the same car/AirPods, moved around the same locations, and no glitches. Also this never occurred with my iPhone 11 Pro, same setup otherwise. Obtained iPhone 13 Pro in December 2021.
However. I have two phone lines connected to this phone - a personal Verizon plan on eSIM and a work AT&T plan using a card in the SIM tray. When I disable the work AT&T plan, the issue **appears to go away**
Curious if others have had this experience and found a resolution. I’d like to keep the convenience of two lines on one phone if possible!
