Did you reinstall FCP and reboot after removing Chrome?
Please post an EtreCheck report https://etrecheck.com giving the application Full Disk Access in Privacy System Preferences. Copy the report and use the Add Text button to paste the result into reply box.
Forgot to add: see https://chromeisbad.com an explanation and instructions on how to uninstall.
Do you have Chrome on this machine?
Completely uninstall Chrome and its evil "keystone" daemons, and then delete and reinstall FCP - it should version 10.6.3, not 10.6.2, by the way (10.6.3 fixes several bugs in 10.6.2 and does not require updating the libraries, so it is a peaceful update to do).
It’s not with FCP specifically.
Other applications are affected too.
The website I linked to above explains it better than I can.
At the very least you should remove the keystone things. They are not needed for Chrome to work. Also you may want to consider a browser that, while being “Chrome-based”, does not use the keystone stuff. Edge, Brave, or Opera ard options. I have had good results using Edge on sites that were “made for Chrome”.
Did you try removing the keystone things? Chrome would still function without them, as they are ostensively there only to "update Chrome", which makes it even more crazy that they hog system resources like there is no tomorrow.
You would still need to delete and reinstall FCP after that.
I need Chrome for work
Why keystone has problem with FCPX?
(it's not solved, I can't "un-solved" the post...)
