Hey feobrien,

We appreciate the clarification. Is auto-lock enabled in Settings > Display & Brightness > Auto-Lock? If not, we recommend selecting a time for it to lock. This will help prevent accidental touches.

If there is a case and/or screen protector on the iPhone, we recommend testing without it. This way, we isolate the issue being related to the case or screen protector.

Also, you mentioned it happening while sitting on your desk. Do you notice the display lighting up as though the screen is being touched? This will help determine if the issue is with the display.

Take care.

You have misunderstood the problem. I know what my password is, it does not need to be reset. The problem is my phone repeatedly ends up in this disabled mode for x minutes. The phone can be sitting on my desk or in my pocket, I go to use it and it is temporarily in this disabled mode. This seems have started since the last IOS update. Imagine trying to pull up your boarding pass at the airport, you pull your phone out of your pocket and it is disabled for 15 minutes! Ugh. Please help

Thanks for the quick response.

Suggestion 1: Yes, I did have the time set to 1 minute, have increased that to 5 minutes. I will see if that helps.

Suggestion 2: I do not have a case or screen protector, so that should not be the problem.

Question 1: This appears to happen even when the phone is face down. When I pick it up and I receive the locked message. I can't recall if it is bright when I pick it up or i push the button. I will be more mindful so I can answer this question.
