A brand new pair of Airpods Pro purchased from Costco online on June 13th 2022 shows warranty upto Jan 9th 2023 which is less than standard 1 year.
Did I got refurbished or returned item?
I contacted Apple support by calling them. They asked proof of purchase thru online system and based on purchased date they update my warranty duration.
I asked agent "Did I got refurbished or fake ones or returned?" she replied, is package was open? if not, it is just sit on authorized dealer's shelves for months.

Purchased new Airpods Pro off the Costco online. Warranty shows 7 months in stead of 12 months.
