Why is my name where my child’s name should be when I open family sharing? When I click on where my child’s name should be, his name is at the heading and his email is used but my name and initials show up. I’ve tried everything I can think of.
Because you set the name for the Apple ID that is using your child's email to yours.
Check Settings->Account(top of settings)->Name, Phone Numbers, Email->Name, and make sure it has your child's name and not your own.
that was the first thing I checked. It’s set to his name. I’ve even changed it to something else then changed it back to be sure.
That is strange.
Check your contacts App, for a contact with your Name , but his email address. It's possible its using that as the basis for the name there.
