Suddenly my gyroscope stopped working after the new ios 15.5 update

iPhone SE gyroscope intermittent, works after reboot The gyroscope on my iPhone SE only works intermittently now, meaning the phone can't always be tilted upwards to show the home screen, change orientation of apps by rotating the phone, or use any apps (compass, games) which require tilting to operate. The strange thing is, when it stops working, a warm reboot will solve the issue for some length of time. This leads me to believe it can't solely be a hardware issue (although it's quite old and has been a little battered over time, so it wouldn't be a surprise). Then again, it surely can't be purely a software issue. It's odd. Has anyone come across this? I've not done anything like locking screen orientation (though this wouldn't stop other things working). It's very strange.

My iPhones gyro isn’t working Recently i realized that my gyro isn’t working. I sometimes play a game that requires gyroscope and i realized it wasn’t functioning. I tried turning the gyro on and off in-game but it didn’t work. Then i opened the Compass app and the compass was stationary but the screen orientation is working fine. I haven’t dropped the phone so i assume there isn’t any fault due to physical damage. I have an iPhone Xs. It would be really helpful to get this issue fixed.

Which device are you using? Which specific behavior are you seeing that leads you this conclusion?

Are you able to replicate this issue? If so, which specific steps to you take to do so?
