iMovie won/t work after the Monterey ios update

After the Monterey update my iMovie won't work- it tells me to update the app, but when I try to it tells me the app was originally bought with a different Apple ID (it wasn't) and won't continue the update. Has anyone else had this problem? What can I do to fix it?

Thanks in advance- I can't do any work until I fix this problem

Hi RiverSh,

We'd love to assist you with updating the app. You can verify if it was downloaded with the current Apple ID account by checking your purchase history using the steps here: View your purchase history for the App Store, iTunes Store, and other Apple media services

If it does not show in the purchase history, then you can delete it and re-download it using your current Apple ID account to receive the updated version.

Cheers!
