89% battery capacity
My MacBook pro is 11 months old and has a battery capacity of 89%. Is this normal?

It's not especially abnormal.
My 2016 MBP has been at 89% for over two years now. Capacity degradation and reporting is not necessarily linear; it might continue to drop and then again it might level off for a long time.
If your Mac is operating normally, just watch it when it gets to 80% consider having Apple replace then battery. But there's not really anything you can do to substantially mitigate the situation anyway.
Just use your Mac until it needs service.
