Apple has built-in tools for iPhone, as well as the app scans when apps are added to the app store, and other checks for those app store apps, and Apple can remotely disable apps that are later found to be problematic.


If you’re an official in a government or a corporation, or have access to sensitive or classified data, or have access to financial data or to great wealth, or you’re a criminal or political dissident or investigative journalist, or otherwise of interest to a government, the security calculations here do change.
