My 12 yo daughter has an iphone using my apple ID. I do not want her to see my photos, texts, etc., but i want to see what photos she takes on her iphone and be able to monitor what she does on her phone. how do i do this?

If you are using family sharing you should not be sharing an Apple ID -> Set up Family Sharing - Apple Support
Family sharing is not designed as a spying mechanism.
Don’t share Apple ID’s, create a child’s ID for her.

There is no way to set it up so that you can see her photos and messages but she can't see yours. It's all or nothing.
You can use Screen Time to control some of what she does but you will not be able to see her texts, emails, etc. without looking at her phone.

so she will have to log of my icloud and then create a new one for herself? so what exactly does family sharing do?
