Siri asking for confirmation to call on Apple watch but not on iphone

Here's something I really don't understand when it comes to Siri and calling a number. I have a contact with just one phone number. On my iPhone when I ask Siri to call that contact, it does so immediately without asking for confirmation. But on Apple Watch Siri has to ask for confirmation to call that number when there's only one number for that contact. Why does Siri ask for confirmation on Apple Watch when it doesn't do it on iPhone? Has anyone else run into this issue? I have the iPhone Xs Max running on iOS 15.5 and Apple Watch 6.

Hey there, ninose,

It sounds like your Apple Watch prompts you to confirm a call when using Siri, though your iPhone does not. To help us isolate the issue and determine the best course of action, we would suggest the following steps:

  1. Make sure your iPhone is running the latest iOS version: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
  2. Make sure your watch has the latest watchOS version: Update your Apple Watch - Apple Support
  3. See if the issue occurs with multiple contacts.
  4. If you have a Cellular + GPS watch, see if the issue occurs with and without your phone nearby.

If the issue still occurs after that, please get in touch with Apple Support directly: Get Support.

Have a lovely weekend.
