How do I exit a website that won’t go away?

In Safari, touch the "2 squares" icon at the bottom right of the screen (if you don't see it, swipe downward to show the Safari task bar). You'll be presented with a view of all your opened tabs. Touch the "x" at the top right of the tab/page you want to close.
