Delete all bookmarks on Safari on iPhone

For some reason Safari has created dozens, in some cases hundreds, of duplicate bookmarks in Safari on my iPhone. To delete them all one by one would take a week. How can I mass delete them all at once?

Hello mthor40,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you need some help with removing those bookmarks. We will be happy to help.

From the iPhone, you can remove these singularly. If you have a Mac however, you can delete these by doing this: How can I clear multiple bookmarks? - Apple Community

Another item to consider, when it happens in iPhone

would be, see how its History is handling all visited

sites. Safari iOS can/will record all from everywhere.

At some point those languish and may be moved to

a more permanent category. Could happen, at times.

The ability for Safari macOS and iOS to share bookmarks

and histories, even share article hand-offs between them.

This can be problematic, w/ inconvenient circumstance.
