Bluetooth function issue for third-party earbuds

I just bought a pair of JBL Live Free NC+ TWS earbuds, and I am unable to get both of them to function at the same time while connected to my iPhone 13 running iOS 15.5.

Each earbud connects as a separate device, and while both will connect easily and at the same time, audio will only ever come through one earbud at a time. I am unsure whether the problem lies in the earbuds or the phone.

If there is no solution to this problem, then I would at least like to know why this happens.

Bluetooth connection I have a pair of RHA TrueConnect earbuds. Just recently I found they failed to connect to my iPhone. I did a control test of the earbuds with my iPad and my wife's iPhone and they worked perfectly. That concluded that it might have to do with my iPhone bluetooth functionality. (note: I did a reset on the earbuds and set the bluetooth on/off on my phone but still not making both of them sync/work.)

iPhone 12 Pro Max Bluetooth or iOS problem Issue with Bluetooth or iOS on 12 Pro Max: Strange, earbuds were paired as separate devices, Left and Right. When playing a song, only left earbud works. I had no issue with iPhone 6+. both were working, and paired as a single earbud unit. Apple, any ideas why it works with older Iphone 6+ but not with new iPhone 12 Pro Max ?
