Limit age of items in Notification Center

Hello,

Is there a way to limit the age of items in the Notification Center? I have 20+ items in the Center because it seems to be retaining messages up to a week old.

My Lezyne Super GPS bicycle computer will download notifications and display them while I am riding, which is a useful feature. But when I pair the unit with my iPhone at the beginning on a ride, it downloads all notifications in the Center. This can impair access to the unit's features when I need them.

I asked Lezyne Support if I can set up the unit to only import new messages that arrive after I turn on the unit. Reply: "We don't have the setting to only provide new notifications, based on the way iOS shares notifications to outside apps."

Any solution to this problem?

Thanks.

Matt

You may set up location-based alerts

Some apps use your location to send you relevant alerts based on where you are. For example, you might get a reminder to call someone when you get to a specific place or when you leave for your next location.

If you don’t want to see these types of alerts, you can turn them off.

  1. Go to Settings  > Privacy > Location Services.
  2. Turn on Location Services.
  3. Tap an app (if any appear in the list), then choose whether you want to share your location while using that app.

See the Apple Support article About privacy and Location Services.
