Problem with SIM in Serbia on iPhone5

Dear, I am writing to you from Serbia. I have two iphone 5 phones, bought in slovenia. When I came to Serbia, I bought a Serbian number. The problem is that my Serbian number does not work in Serbia on the iPhone, when I leave Serbia in Croatia, Slovenia, the number works normally. Is there any protection on your part for the territory of Serbia? Here I checked everything myself, there is no protection.

Thank you.

Looks like that both iPhone 5 were original purchased with a carrier contract in Slovenia, so they are carrier locked.

This means the phone will only operate on that carrier's network.

Contact the carrier in Slovenia and ask to unlock both iPhone.

  • Apple can't unlock your iPhone for use with a different carrier. Only your carrier can unlock your iPhone.

By the way iPhone 5 is an outdated iPhone (September 12, 2012), normally (in the EU) after 2 years the consumer has the right to ask that the carrier unlock the iPhone.
