Siri Not Working Properly with Voice Over

I am blind and two days ago this worked. I would say hey Siri and she would beep. I would ask her a question and she would answer it with Vouceover. Now when I say hey Siri my wife tells me the “colored orb” comes on the screen but she won’t answer my question with voiceover. If I push the home button the orb comes up and she answers my question with Voiceover. I would like her to go back to Hey Siri and answer my question in voiceover.
