Can I use my trade in value for a MacBook outside of Apple's Website or a physical store?

I have been looking into buying a new laptop for College but the model I need is backordered for over two months. Can I use the Apple Store gift card at my college book store since they have the model with the specs I need in stock?

No. You can only use an Apple Store gift card at a physical Apple Store or on the online Apple Store.
