HDR and NIGHT MODE in exif?

I would like to know if it is possible to find out in PC (not Mac in my case) in which camera mode the photo was taken? I mean information about HDR on/off, night mode on/off... I couldn't find anything in exif. I don't see this directly in the phone in the photo viewing app either.

Just in theory - is it technically possible to write this information to the exif? This could be a requirement for apple for future iOS upgrades, it would be very beneficial for users who are more immersed in photography.

iPhone 12 mini, iOS 15

It’s common to have vendor-specific tags embedded within otherwise standard metadata formats, and most tools will contend properly with these extensions.

CSS, SMTP, and NNTP are various examples with vendor-specific metadata extensions, and the tools will accept and ignore the tags. (ANSI-formatted terminal control sequences, too. Many if not most programming language language compilers, too.

If the vendor extension becomes widely accepted, it or some variation of it then becomes part of the standard.

And yes, if a standard tag exists already (maybe using CustomRendered, here?), then the vendor should use it and not invent their own extension.

Log feedback.
