IOS 15 Gyroscope Calibration

I updated my iPhone 12 to ios 15 (and now it is ios 15.6) and my gyroscope will no longer work and the compass will not move, but I can turn my screen sideways. Any advice on how to fix this?

I tried turning the gyro on and off in-game but it didn’t work. Then i opened the Compass app and the compass was stationary but the screen orientation is working fine. iPhone SE gyroscope intermittent, works after reboot The gyroscope on my iPhone SE only works intermittently now, meaning the phone can't always be tilted upwards to show the home screen, change orientation of apps by rotating the phone, or use any apps (compass, games) which require tilting to operate. The strange thing is, when it stops working, a warm reboot will solve the issue for some length of time. This leads me to believe it can't solely be a hardware issue (although it's quite old and has been a little battered over time, so it wouldn't be a surprise). Then again, it surely can't be purely a software issue. It's odd. Has anyone come across this? I've not done anything like locking screen orientation (though this wouldn't stop other things working). It's very strange.

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. Since you are using the beta iOS version, you can leave feedback for this issue using the Feedback Assistant app on your iPhone 12. Its located on the second page of your Home Screen. You can also uninstall the beta profile, and use the public iOS version. The steps to do so are found here:
