Display resolution of M2 MacBook Air?

I am thinking of ordering one once available, but I can’t find any info on the actual apparent resolution of the display. I read the specs and know what the overall resolution is, but in use does it look like 1280x800? If so, could I use it set to 1440x900 without a performance hit?

The laptop appeals to me but I need the screen real estate of 1440x900 or higher to work.

Yes, as I said I read the specs. Of course I would check there first.

However, with retina displays there is a default. For example, on my 2013 15" MBP the default "looks like" 1440x900. I can set it to 1680x1050 but I get "may affect performance" warning.

My question is, what is the default "looks like" on the M2 Air display and, if it's 1280x800 can it be set to 1440x900 without this performance hit?
