My daughter was out with friends today and told me she was in a neighbours, street, but when I checked her phone on the find my iPhone app she was somewhere else. There was no large blue circle to say it was an estimated location. How sharp is this app? Is this a thing or is she trying it on? Thanks
Your daughter was "somewhere else" when you checked to find her location. Whatever was displayed on the map at the time was where the phone was. I think you can assume that she was where the phone was as well.

Is there anyway it could be wrong? I know she had a phone signal at the time. Thanks
If "Find My" has been working correctly and reliably, I see no reason why it would suddenly not work reliably for a short time, and then start working reliably again.
