I had no sounds or notifications when receiving new emails. Problem solved after disabling the FOCUS app. Apparently, when Do not Disturb and Share Across Devices are activated, it prevents Apple mail app to function properly. Wish Apple gurus thought to notify users when incorporating Focus in latest IOS upgrades. Anyone else had similar problems ? Comments ?

Have you enabled Scheduled Summary?
Settings > Notifications > [Select the App that you are having trouble receiving immediate notifications]
See the pic below for a few examples. Please select immediate delivery.
That was before I deactivated Do not Disturb in FOCUS. No everything is great. Read my original post.
Did not. Since disabled Focus, Mail notification and sound working fine. Don't see where Scheduled Summary would be useful as not big user. Thanks for the suggestion.
