Hello Dgk33,

It looks like there is trouble communicating with a mail server on the iPhone. Let's get a little more information to help narrow this down.

Have you removed the email account from the Mail app?

Is this a managed iPhone from a school or work?

This article explains how you can remove the email account from the iPhone.

Hello Dgk33,

Thanks for updating us with this information and checking that out.

If there isn't a Hotmail account listed under accounts, let's check to see if this may be appearing due to a configuration profile installed. For help with that, you would go to Settings > General > Profiles & Device Management. For more information on this, check out the following resource: Install or remove configuration profiles on iPhone - Apple Support

If you're not seeing a profile listed, would you happen to have a third-party app downloaded that you previously used with Hotmail? If so, are you able to remove the app to see if that clears this up?

We hope that's able to help.

Cheers!

No my email account does not show IMAP.

You account must say one of these things: IMAP, POP, AOL, YAHOO or EXCHANGE. Which of the these do you see when you go to Settings/Mail/Accounts and tap on the account? It must be one of those at the top of the page

he details of the popup say Securelogin.HPE.com which is Hewlitt Packard Enterprise website.
I will try and contact them to remove Hotmail.
Thanks

That’s not an email problem and is unrelated to Hotmail. You probably have a subscribed calendar, possibly associated with a service program for an HP product. go to Settings/Calendar/Accounts/Subscribed Calendars, and if you see a calendar delete it.

Another less likely possibility is a configuration profile. Go to Settings/General/VPN & Device Management and see if there is an HP profile; if there is, delete it.

No sorry. I click on Settings, Mail, and I see Accounts not Account.

Under Accounts I only have:

iCloud

My Outlook

Add Account

Fetch New Data

Clicking on My Outlook at top just says Outlook

Under that is my Account then my email.

Mail

Contacts

Calendars

Reminders

Notes

Mail Days to Sync - No Limit

Delete Account

Clicking on my email above just shows:

Email - my email outlook.com

Description my Name Outlook
