changing child's avatar on child's iPhone

Hi - we just set up an old iPhone for our child to use - I can't seem to change the avatar on her account. I can change it and have done so on "Family Sharing" but when I go to "settings" on her phone, her name and avatar are grayed out and won't respond to tapping. It seems to be locked out. Any suggestions? Thanks

Whenever I try to make my profile picture and name my own in settings, it changes my mom’s name a profile picture and vice versa. We have different Apple ID’s but we share a family account. New iPad stuck on signing in child account I’m setting up my new iPad for my child and I selected her account but it’s been sitting on these screens forever now. I’ve turned off the iPad and restarted the whole process and every time I select her profile to set up the iPad with, it gets stuck here.

passcode i have family sharing on my iphone, and the passcode and face id feature is not visible in my settings app. how can my parent or guardian enable this feature so i can add a passcode?

Try removing the Screen Time restrictions and see if you can change it. Then turn the Screen Tim restrictions back on.

Have you tried change the avatar in her Contacts app?

Have you checked Settings/Screen Time for any restrictions?

Yes. I tried to change it in the contacts and it wouldn’t let me do it I'm wondering if it was because of the screen time limits etc that I set.
