Having just finished a great vacation with 7 Apple photos contributors our share album, I’m wondering if anyone has a better workflow to import all other contributors’ photos so I’m not re0importing mine into my photo library. I would think and expect that Apple Photos Dev team would realize this would be a primary use case and expand their filter functionality.
Keep a separate shared album to put yours in, from the one your contributors add to. There is no way to separate them once they are in a single shared album.
Bear in mind that shared albums only hold reduced quality/reduced size images. So perhaps not the best sharing mechanism if you want to make good quality prints from them.
All photos added to a shared album online are stripped of all metadata except for camera data for privacy sake. So you may have to do as Tony suggests you.
