IPAD 1 no longer usable shame on Apple :(

I have been given an IPAD 1 Model A1219 after full reset it can no longer

function on the internet. Safari can not load websites and ITUNES login does not work.

Customer service and senior staff very helpful with no solution.

Very disappointed with Apple, beautiful well preserved IPAD has to go in the dustbin.

That is the first generation iPad and it cannot be updated beyond iOS 5.1.1.

Unfortunately from the information I have your iPad is too old. The newest iOS is 15.5 and soon to be iOS 16. It doesn’t matter what shape it’s in. Don’t put in the dustbin, recycle it.

Gosh, my original IBM XT clone running DOS 3.1 would be fully useless now (if I still had it). Shame on Microsoft for not keeping the OS updated for that 40 year + old hardware so it would keep running, display a modern OS, etc.

Perhaps you've noticed (maybe not) that the computer industry is still evolving at breakneck speed? Floppy disks gave way to SyQuest removable hard drives. Those gave way to CDs and DVDs. In turn, those gave way to USB sticks. Hard drives gave way to SSDs.

That iPad 1 only runs 32 bit software. The entire computer industry dumped, or is dumping 32 bit anything, including Microsoft. It's a museum piece, and that's about all.
