Support for HTTP HEAD requests

Hello community!

I'm setting up an RSS feed for a podcast hosted on a paid Squarespace site and when I run the Podbase validator I get a couple of error messages that I have no idea how to correct.

  1. Is it XML?
  2. Support for HTTP HEAD requests - Unexpected HTTP code: 400

I'm not a total newbie with coding stuff but the point of going through Squarespace was to avoid dealing with coding issues, so any help would be appreciated.

The podcast RSS feed is http://www.johnbdutton.com/fauxropter?format=rss

Thanks so much!

John

The XML appears to be OK. I can't test for head requests but CastFeedValidator doesn't complain about it so I should go ahead and submit it and see what happens.

However your image will not be accepted. It is 1233 x 1234 px: it must be minimum 1400 x 1400 pc and is must be square: even one pixel off won't do. Its file size is way too large at 1.8MB: it must be less than 500kB.

Your URL starts with http:// - you should use the secure version, starting with https://

Hi again,

It's weird because I edited my podcast artwork to make it 1400 x 1400 and replaced the previous image everywhere I could find it on my Squarespace site, but I'm still getting the error message (ERROR: This image has an invalid width. The width should be between 1400 and 3000, but this image's is 1233. ERROR: This image has an invalid height. The width should be between 1400 and 3000, but this image's is 1234.)

Here's a screenshot of the file details:

I'm stumped! Either somehow the new image file hasn't populated (not sure if that's even a thing) or there's a specific instance of this file on my website that Apple is grabbing and I've missed it when doing my image file replacements.

Any other assistance would be enormously appreciated.

Thanks!

John
