Mail is Shrinking my Photos and I can't fix it

Mail is shrinking my photos. I see this issue has been raised before, but I don't see a resolution. Mail invites me to use Mail Drop if the photo exceeds a certain size; and the inbound email includes a small copy of the photo, along with the message "download full resolution images until [date]." However, I see nowhere to get the download, by clicking on the small size image or otherwise.

Hello James Tallon,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities!

If we understand your post correctly, the Mail is inviting you to use Mail drop because of exceeding the size limit but there is an option to download full resolution images until a certain date but you're not able to find the download. We'd like to help!

Below is the article that provides information about mail size limits and why you received the message to use Mail Drop.
